About Dhofar –Salalah.
Dhofar, also spelled Dhufar, Arabic Ẓufār, Dhofar is the southern province of Oman known for its historical ruins and incense trade .it is the world leading source of frankincense. It Is considered one of the most beautiful Provinces in Arabia, particularly in its southwestern part, because of its monsoon (Khareef) climate, temperate vegetation and bird life. It is considered Oman’s most fertile area. Al-Qarāʾ Mountains is located About 10 miles (16 km) which rise to the heights between 3,000 and 4,000 feet (900 and 1,200 meters).

Day 01 - Arrival
Arrive Salalah, Meet & Greet at the Airport then transfer to hotel, Rest of the day for leisure and relaxation on the beach.

Day 2 - East and west COMBINATION OF SALALAH
In the morning, After Breakfast, we start our tour to Dhofar. Dhofar is Oman’s cattle-raising area, primarily for milk. There are oil fields in the northeast. The coastal town of Ṣalālah has one of the most beautiful beaches in the area.Salalah was the permanent residence of the former sultan of Oman until the Success of Sultan Qaboos.Other major towns are Mirbāṭ, Ṭāqah, Raysūt, and Rakhyūt. About East of Salalah...   East Of Salalah includes the historical part Of Salalah; the ancient ruins of the famous city Sumharam (Khor Rohri). The town was the easternmost outpost of the Hadramaut kingdom on the ancient frankincense trade route between the Mediterranean Sea, the Persian Gulf, and India. Khor Rohri was an important port on the coast of Dhofar and one of the main commercial cities of frankincense, probably even the center and main port for shipping (UNESCO World Heritage Site).   In the morning discover Eastern Dhofar – The Frankincense Trail We stop at Ayn Razat, located at the foot of the Qara Mountains, with its natural springs, rich plants, and flowers. Continue up the mountains, home of the Jebalis and their large herds of camel and cattle. In Sumhuram archaeological excavation site we inspect the ruins of this old frankincense port city and its store rooms. Continue along the coast and stop at Bin Ali Mosque and the grave of one holy man buried here in the 14th Century. Proceed to Mirbat, the former trading place for horses, and stroll around the old part of the town to admire the beautiful architecture and the old Dhofari houses. While returning to Salalah we stop at Taqa’s wonderful white sandy beach. In the afternoon explore Western Dhofar – Wonders of Nature Drive across the impressive Qara Mountains and head south where the mountains turn lush green to reach Hiob’s Tomb, visited by Islamic pilgrims. We stop at frankincense trees and a bird sanctuary before reaching Mughsayl Beach, well-known for its blow holes, a natural wonder where the sea bursts up dramatically in regular intervals during high tide. Return to Salalah town and enjoy dinner in a typical local restaurant. head to Visit the famous Mughsayl and Salalah Bird sanctuaries.Back To your Hotel

Day 3 - EMPTY QUARTER
About Empty Quarter “Rub Al Khali Desert ” In Oman.   Empty Quarter or  “Rub  Al Khali Desert ” as it's pronounced in Arabic is the world second largest desert in the world, it occupies a Southern third of the Arabian peninsula the desert itself about 65,000 Square km, stretching to the north from Oman into Saudi Arabia, Yemen and up into the western UAE. The Huge Sand Dunes Reaches up to 300m. About the Lost City of Ubar. The Atlantis of the sands is a legendary lost city in the southern Arabian Desert that was believed to be destroyed by natural disaster or as a punishment of God As mentioned in Quraan “Muslims Holy Book”. Many Expeditions were made and some photos have been taken by Nasa .traces of City was discovered but nothing to be sure if it’s the lost city that mentioned in the Quraan which is known as “Iram of the Pillars”. Many names were given to this Spot: Ubar-Wabar-Iram.   Leaving Salalah to ascend the mountains behind the town. Drive across the Qara mountain to Njed area of Dhofar. Stop at Thumrait which is famous as Bedouin settlement. Drive towards the desert and settlement of Ubar the well known lost city which is believed to be swelled by the desert without leaving any traces .this Place was visited by many explorers like Wilfred Thesiger and Ranulph Fiennes. It is also associated with texts in the Quran. Beyond Ubar are the Mega Dunes of the Empty Quarter that rise to a height of 250 meters and above.Search in the Sands for the small Geodes which are scattered around. Have lunch at Thumrait .on your way back to Salalah you may see a UNESCO site with Frankincense Trees.
